Fishers falls under the Hamilton Southeastern Schools district (HSE).

The district has eleven elementary schools (k-4), two intermediate schools (5-6), one middle school (5-8), two junior high schools (7-8), and two high schools (9-12).

  • Hamilton Southeastern High School is home to the Royals.
  • Fishers High School is home to the Tigers.

Hamilton Southeastern is also the fastest growing school district in the State of Indiana with 15,315 students recorded in the 2006-07 school year and 10,716 students in 2002. The schools in this district have outstanding ratings on a national level.

Twelve of Eighteen Schools in HSE District are four star schools rated by the Indiana Department of Education. Four of the six schools that are not four star are too new to be rated. HSE High School and HSE Junior High School were both named “No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Schools” by the U.S. Department of Education, which only awards two schools in each level annually. HSE School District had a 23.1% higher passing rate on Math and English ISTEP+ tests as compared to the state average in 2006-2007.
